Description
Our vision is to bring together automated and cooperative driving, flying and robotics as a technological super-accelerator for tomorrow’s mobility on the road, in the field and in the air. Supported with a total funding of 86.1M euros, we are deploying state-of-the-art research infrastructure: for the development, homologation, and technical monitoring of automated and connected driving; for the testing and certification of unmanned aerial vehicles and recultivation robotics; and for the creation of a software ecosystem for an active start-up scene. In doing so, the SML serves as a living lab for digital-based mobility technologies, for concentrating and combining globally unique research infrastructure and equipment such as a highly immersive driving simulator, drone and robotics technologies, and national and international expertise.
