From Simulation to Reality: DECT NR+ PER Measurements
PA: Research Project (INF-PM-FPA / INF-PM-FPG / INF-25-MA-FP) or
BA: Bachelor Thesis (or Studienarbeit / Großer Beleg)
DECT NR+ is an emerging, ultra-low-latency wireless standard operating in a dedicated, license-free band. For robust IoT applications, the key question isn’t just whether a link can be established, but how reliably packets arrive under real-world conditions.
Goals of the thesis
Characterize the Packet Error Rate of DECT NR+ as a function of SINR in an outdoor environment, using real nRF9151-DK boards. The resulting empirical PER curves are intended to feed into and validate the theoretical PER models used in simulation studies — closing the gap between controlled indoor conditions and real-world radio behavior
Requirements
- Experience with C++
- Embedded programming / Linux
